PDI, Advances in School building

The PDI is the Institutional Development Project of the Faculty. This is a document that specifies the mission and strategic objectives to develop in the FACS over the next four years. In simple words, is a document containing proposals to achieve the goals and indicators to measure progress.

But the PDI is only a part, its relevance is played on the significance of their use in practice. The objectives the PDI ARE NOT THE GUIDANCE OF OUR SCHOOL. With this document the FACSO not take no clear position on developing effective public university or on the development of our discipline, nor talk about how these two components, education and social science are at the service of large majorities and social transformation that corresponds with the urgency (the injustice and inequality do not expect). Today only acts as the wall to the changes we seek students.

We can not keep the concerns of students and teachers of the need for equality and justice in society. That is why we decisively initiate a broad discussion, involving horizontal and all faculty in the construction and exercise of School Project. It is necessary to build these guidelines, the common sense of where we are, what we do and why.

We believe that we can not remain isolated scholars, thinking about the next grant fund, the next job or the next chair only in terms of our personal interests. We have to organize, as a collective force to put their part in building a more just and egalitarian society. It is the task of the present.

Discussion of PDI gives us the space to advance the construction of a power project, but as long as we assume ourselves as writers no indicators, but as subjects of a New School building, the historic motor transformation of this university.

A project to build a School!
