Wording For Paying For Food

Group led by Hernan Briones GOINC RECEIVES BID BOC

The American solutions provide industrial gases and chemicals U.S. $ 1,400 million for the local firm

Briones Group receives bids for holding Indura and negotiates sale to Air Products

While connoisseurs of the operation ensures that transaction is closed, other Market sources indicate that we would be talking with various stakeholders and, for now, nothing is finalized.

By M. Cazenave / L.

A new week has Indura, the holding of technological solutions for industrial gases and welding Goich led by Hernan Briones. This is because the arrest of the registration of its shares on the Superintendencia de Valores y Seguros (SVS), for further opening the bag, we now have the intention to sell the company.

And, according to connoisseurs of the operation, the controlling group of the local firm and would be in advanced negotiations with the U.S. Air Products and Chemicals, also devoted mainly to gases and chemicals for industrial use (see box ) - to close soon sale, through a contract by one of U.S. $ 1,400 million, a figure that would involve more operating businesses in the country this year. Nearby

Although connoisseurs say that the business operation and have been realized, some market sources suggest that talks are still at an early stage, because since February, when from Indura officially reported claims of market-opening would have received interest in the company of several others in the area, but still there is nothing closed. Today

82.23% of Indura is controlled by the Company for Investment and Development Inves, matrix group led by Hernan Briones, through which the family also runs Cementos Bío Bío and Cisa sanitary parts manufacturer, among other businesses (see box on page 7).

The reasons underlying the interest

However, there are particular reasons that would raise the interest of Air Products in Indura, and one of them is related precisely to the close competition between two firms: the U.S. is considered one of the leading competitors Indura worldwide, along with France's L'Air Liquide, Linde AG of Germany and the U.S. also Praxair.

addition, while it is Indura an aggressive presence at regional level in addition to Chile, is located in Peru, Argentina, Mexico, Colombia, Ecuador, "Air Products has managed to embrace four continents: America (including USA, Canada, Mexico and Brazil), Europe, Africa and Asia-which would open the door to possible synergies and, secondly, allow Indura a potential expansion into large markets where there is now absent, as Brazil, the sources explained.

On the other hand, Indura numbers would also be appealing to the U.S., taking into account that the Chilean bill more than $ 400 million a year, while profits rose to over of $ 30 million. Opening

frustrated late February, a special meeting of shareholders approved Indura 100% register their shares in the Securities Registry of the Superintendency of Securities and Insurance, as part of the opening of the joint stock the medium term.

Gay Cruising For Straight Men

InnovaChile Facebook hired an agency to smear Mayor Google

Facebook

hired an agency to disparage Google

gossip hired a PR firm to filter alleged intrusion into the privacy of the search company

Facebook has admitted that it hired the public relations firm Burson-Marsteller to disseminate information on Google, most alleged violations of the privacy of the competitor. The fact was known as a blogger, Chris Sohogian, received a proposal from that agency to help you write an article on Social Circle, a service connected to Gmail, Google. The information you supplied was apocalyptic: "The American people must be aware of deep intrusions into his personal life by Google that is cataloging and disseminating every minute of every day without his permission. "

The blogger thought the agency was making a mountain out of a grain of sand and decided to investigate the interest of the source on the subject and for whom he worked. The agency declined to give details, and the blogger published the post. USA Today investigated the matter and found no basis for the allegations. A reporter for The Daily Beast is the one who has managed to Facebook recognize that it was the client of the agency and who was behind the campaign. A Facebook spokesperson has said that they did because they were convinced that Google kept practices against the privacy of Internet and improperly used data from its network.

Google has not commented so far this episode. Fayerwayer stresses that this is "a developing news story, which will have more chapters in the próximasdías.

Type Of Doctor To Treat Bursitis

Innovation Centre Australia lands in the country

largest center for innovation in Australia lands in the country

Miguel Concha M.

One of the major centers of innovation and technology development worldwide prepares his arrival to Chile to work on various projects of the mining area.

is the Australian Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO), a center of innovation that only has a presence in Australia through 150 initiatives and 14 locations, and is known for several inventions, such as the development of Wi Fi or system that allows wireless internet, or is the development of the CD, along with Phillips. The center will research to find solutions applied to the mining sector. In fact, in Australia and the world and CSIRO has a history of contributions to output growth.

His arrival in Chile, which would be realized through the figure of a foundation, will occur following the award by that institution, a fund Corfo U.S. $ 19.5 million to be used within ten years. The resources are part of the program to attract international centers of excellence in government.

Paid the application process and adapting the work of CSIRO scheme the Chilean system was a team of lawyers Figueroa & Valenzuela study, led by Philip Ernst.

According to reports, after installing the center, probably near a center of mining production in the north, one of the objectives will be to lift investment in research for about $ 100 million over three years.

To achieve this, the scheme of work aims to academia and industry to find solutions aimed at improving the efficiency of the domestic mining sector. That is why CSIRO will work with the University of Chile, the University of Antofagasta and major mining country, such as Codelco, Antofagasta Minerals, Anglo American, Barrick, BHP Billiton and Xstrata.

addition to the above, Australia will open offices in Santiago and Antofagasta, in order to train Chilean professionals in geological research, intelligent mining, metallurgy and mineral processing, as well as energy efficiency and sustainable development.

Thus, the Centre will act as a manager, using the knowledge of the various industry players. The idea is that mining companies come to CSIRO for help to solve a problem that is limiting its efficiency. Thus, with contributions from private firms, CSIRO is researching and developing a solution which is then patented commercially benefit the entire industry.

In turn, the idea is that Chile, with this initiative, will become the platform for all development projects in Latin American mining industry, taking into account the great development that exhibits activity in Peru, Mexico and Brazil.

(Official Strategy) There is agreement in the market that the Luksic Group, which owns Quiñenco through a box of U.S. $ 2,047 million, will continue to provide surprises. And in that sense, is not expected to be happy with the purchase of Shell, he wants to be a big actor in the business of fuel distribution, and therefore are known to be a serious candidate to buy assets Copec Terpel Chile, and thus left with a share of 31% after the Angelini group has a 63%. Also in the market betting that the group eventually take majority control Vapor, and even buy another shipping, because you need size to compete in this business, and it would also be a matter of time returning to the business of retail, with a possibility to launch a bid for or buy The Polar Supermarkets in the South.

And in the mining conglomerate of Croatian origin, the chief executive of Antofagasta Minerals, Marcelo Awad said, "Our financial position remains strong and we are well positioned to further substantial growth opportunities," considering that the group ended 2010 with net cash of $ 1,345 million euros. And in that sense, the conglomerate has embarked on a vigorous process of international expansion initiatives Pakistan (Reko Diq project, whose feasibility study was completed and submitted to the provincial government during the third quarter of 2010), and the United States through the purchase of Franconia Minerals which has three sites in northeastern Minnesota. In any case, in the Antofagasta mining world believe that an acquisition made in Latin America, appearing as possibilities Argentina and Peru, as well as partnerships with Codelco in Chile.

to the Angelini Group, which has a liquidity of about U.S. $ 1,900 million, analysts estimate that it will focus on business growth in the pulp, and has announced a historic investment plan for 2011 of U.S. $ 1,200 million.

More Retail
In the retail area, Paulmann with Cencosud has a liquidity of $ 220 million, which would amount to a capital increase of up to U.S. $ 2,000 million . Here's betting analysts say the big "blow" the German would expand its supermarket operation in Brazil (Minas Gerais is) because until now only limited to the northeast. It is estimated that purchases could come in the next phase in the states of Rio de Janeiro or Sao Paulo, and it does not rule out that Mexico is facing. The Solari Group-Del Rio, hand, has a box of $ 245 million (only retail area) and an investment plan of U.S. $ 3,500 million for four years, does not consider acquisitions. And in that sense, the market versions indicate arrival in Brazil and Mexico in Latin America, but could even make the jump to Europe with a string of Spain or Italy. And locally, are expected to buy Tottus supermarket chains in the regions.

In Group Said, who in their non-financial companies has a box around U.S. $ 390 million, the market rings loud that Edelpa would be to close an acquisition of a packaging company, and that the news would be released in the next day. In Park Arauco, meanwhile, would jump in large markets such as Brazil or Mexico, for which the group has already received proposals from international investors. In the case of Andina, analysts said the next step would be to Peru.

In the case of power holding company Enersis (Endesa Spain), with a box of $ 2,160 million, must have significant resources committed as an investment plan worth nearly U.S. $ 6,000 million for the period 2011-2015, for countries in which it operates. Approximately U.S. $ 3,400 billion for distribution to U.S. $ 2,600 million to build. By country, Brazil will be about U.S. $ 1,950 million in Colombia U.S. $ 1,400 million in Chile U.S. $ 1,150 million, Argentina $ 900 million in Peru U.S. $ 600 million. However, these amounts are not considered projects in Colombia The Quimbo, HidroAysén, Neltume and The Condors in Chile, and Curibamba in Peru, among others, that if carried out would involve an additional amount of U.S. $ 3,500 million.

Na fails' with scholarships ... What about the student movement? Discussing

Even before the government go to class laughed at the students. Piñera and Lavin are responsible for many of us have to endure delays in delivery of the pass, grants and benefits , juggling we have to go to classes, lunch, photocopying and transporting and other expenses or straight have taken away scholarships overnight without notice : The case of President Grant implies that there will be few who will have to draw from who knows where the 50 thousand pesos monthly that remained.

E l Government has neither has the will to extend the benefits and return the scholarship. It is the responsibility of the student movement, all of us, hand to stop them taking a necessary step toward a free state education.

know that while the scholarships we provide to minimum conditions to study, do not allow that we can all exercise our right to study and live in dignity and equality. For that simple reason is required profound changes to the education system as a whole. The only way is with a massive and ongoing student movement is not limited only to the specific problem of the scholarships.

why we view with suspicion the way we are conducting, as always, from top: The CONFECH only timidly raised to be "restructure the system of scholarships", to which the right and they responded by saying agree with that (but in the sense of restricting them and make things worse).

It seems then that is urgent to define our specific demands on scholarships and raise them in the short term for addressing a topic that can no longer wait.

welcome the initiatives being developed by the Campus Coordinator, the task force and movement that is rising in social psychology fellow and all initiatives that each of our partners takes place.

We are all necessary for the government's hand to stop him!

What no one left without a scholarship!

members agreement that formed the request had differences that were reflected in official text

delivery DL 600 Commission report invariable tax changes and institutional

The document confirms the expert group need for a Foreign Investment Statute, but opt \u200b\u200bfor an upgrade.

modernizing Commission DL 600 delivered yesterday Economy Minister Juan Andrés Fontaine, the report prepared by the instance that in the context of the discussion of Law 20,469 that "introduced changes to the Taxation of Mining Activities."

In essence, the experts concluded that it is necessary to have a Foreign Investment Statute, although they acknowledge they must make a series of amendments. These are:

1 - Consider an amendment to the stability of the total effective tax burden

. Today when the rate of 42%, much higher than that applicable to common tax regime of 35%, most foreign investors choose to waive this invariance to repatriate their capital when paying in this way the rate of 35%. Given this, it is advisable to review this type of invariance to make it more effective achieving a real incentive for foreign investors and lower the rate should remain unchanged from 42% so it is less remote from the current rate (35%).

2 - Delete the provision that limits access to domestic credit by foreign investors.

It is hard to justify the existence of this type of restriction and discrimination between domestic and foreign investors, which has negative consequences such as limiting the development of the Chilean capital market because it creates a barrier between this market and foreign companies in the country.

3 - Repeal of Article 11 bis.

The Commission has seen fit to propose the repeal of this provision, because its application is restricted to only certain sectors of production and also makes arguments for the granting of invariance by contract laws, regulations and administrative understand this form of invariance.

4 - Maintain the current text, invariably referred to in Article 11 ter.

regard to the recent enactment of Law No. 20,469 that "introduced changes to the taxation of Activity Mining, which changed the rules of foreign investment in the industry, it is advisable to explore a modification of this provision.

5 - Changes to Foreign Investment Committee and a vice.

Analyze the mission and responsibilities, regarding functions, duties and personnel structure.

minority vote

The document has a minority vote of the members of the Coalition, who previously submitted the report to senators voting pact.

In this pose the government to request a report to the OECD to advise on best practices of foreign investment, and the DL 600 "is not an instrument that is now a contribution."
