More than five hundred farmers, irrigators, business consultants , professionals and government officials, headed by the Ministers of Agriculture, José Antonio Galilea, and Public Works, Hernán de Solminihac, attended the First National Irrigation.
The initiative is part of the work that the government address the effects caused by La Niña and drought. Galilee Minister said he is working on three lines: a long-term, through the Plan of Reservoirs; the medium term, through the Irrigation Development Act, with $ 36 billion for competitive funds and short- time, via contests Promotion Act and the declaration of emergency agricultural areas.
